9:45 AM UPDATE – According to 911, the Zihlman mine drainage rupture flow has returned to its normal pathway.
Contractors from the Maryland Department of the Environment are remaining on the scene and cleaning up damage to property in the area.
According to officials, there is no further threat.
INITIAL REPORT:
Allegany County Emregency Management reports a mine rupture in the area of Wilker Lane off of Mt Savage Road in the Zihlman area. Further details once they become available.
