The Mineral County Sheriff’s Department has dealt with a number of high profile incidents in recent months- yet information regarding the status of the various investigations has been slow to reach the public- apparently as a result of budget issues. Late in December, a domestic shooting occurred in the Wiley Ford which saw one women transported for a gunshot wound to the stomach. Although sources are now saying that case will not result in charges, to date, WCBC Radio has yet to receive an official report or statement from the sheriff’s department.
