Morriss Believes City Waited Too Long on Bridge Issue

Cumberland Mayoral candidate and retired CSX employee Ray Morriss tells WCBC News that he believes the Mayor and City Council waited too long to address the West Side bridge issues allowing the situation of grow substantially worse in the past few years.  Access to the West Side section of  of town has become a major issue as all three CSX owned  bridges are now closed due to being in various states of disrepair and having been deemed unsafe. The city has been engaged in negotiations with CSX during the summer and Mayor Brian Grim said he is encouraged that the two sides are close to an agreement- but nothing has been finalized to date.  Morriss said these matters should have been dealt with years ago…
