On Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at approximately 1:30 P.M., the Cumberland Police Department responded to W/B Industrial Boulevard near the intersection of Wineow Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles. Investigation revealed that Barbara Holliday, Winchester, VA was operating a 2010 Ford Taurus and failed to yield the right of way while turning onto Wineow Street. Holliday drove into the path of a 2000 Ford F-150 that was being driven by Dawn O'Baker Sites, Cumberland, MD. At the time of the collision O'Baker Sites was traveling W/B on Industrial Boulevard.
One passenger in Holliday's vehicle and three passengers in O'Baker Sites' vehicle were taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center to be evaluated, all for non life-threatening injuries.
Traffic in the area had to be detoured for approximately a half an hour.
