We're just under a month away from the 2017 Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge. From January 26 to January 28, hundreds of people will make the trek to Sandy Point State Park to take a dip in the Chesapeake Bay to raise funds for Special Olympics Maryland. About a month later, the 19th Annual MSP/NRP Deep Creek Dunk is scheduled for the same purpose. Dunk 2017 is set for February 25 in Deep Creek Lake. Both events go toward children and adults with intellectual disabilities, as they enjoy the life-changing benefits of participating with Special Olympics Maryland.
