Hundreds of volunteers are expected to take part in the 20th annual Day of Caring and Sharing/Let's Beautify Cumberland event. Over the years, thousands of plants, flowers and trees have been planted throughout the city through this effort and hundreds of volunteer efforts from agencies from school groups cleanup the city. Ed Mullaney, Let's Beautify Cumberland! co-chair, accepted a proclaimation from the city of Cumberland this week acknowledging the effort put in by volunteers each May. This year’s event is set for May 12th.
