Multiple Tractor Trailer Accidents cause backup on I68

Three seperate tractor trailer accidents on Interstate 68 near Hancock forced both the east bound and west bound lanes closed for more than an hour early Wednesday afternoon causing a major traffic backup. Maryland State Police in Hagerstown report that one of the tractor trailers jackknifed and there was an oil spill that led to hazmat units being called to the scene. 68 East re-opened shortly before 2pm, and the west lanes are expected to open momentarily. No injuries reported. Wet roads believed to have contributed to the accidents.
