New BoE Legal Counsel Provided With Details On Wayne Foote Dismissal Resolution

Allegany County’s Superintendent of Schools, appearing on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” Friday, confirmed that specific details as well as evidence supporting a resolution calling for the dismissal of board member Wayne Foote has been provided to the school board’s new legal counsel.  That resolution was approved at the end of December by the previous school board, just days prior to the new board taking office.  According to new board members Robert Farrell and David Bohn, attempts to access the information contained within the resolution were rebuffed by both holdover board member Tammy Fraley and Superintendent David Cox. Cox told WCBC News that all of the information is now in the hands of the firm of Geppert, McMullen, Paye and Getty- the firm now handling the board’s legal matters.  The board utilized the services of Columbia based attorney Judy Bresler to handle that December resolution as then board attorney Gary Hanna had advised that the issue not be pursued.     all details should be made public information,after all,,they are public employees and paid by the taxpayers…
