New plans are in the works to develop a river park in Cumberland. The idea of adding recreational activities along the Potomac River between Cumberland and Ridgeley was discussed several years ago, but firm plans never moved forward one some of the key players involved changed. Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority executive director Dee Dee Ritchie has begun to re-start talks of developing the program. The new plans will include a riverside trail for walking and bicycling along with river access points for canoeing and kayaking as well as boat launch areas…
