While design and engineering for the Baltimore Street bridge will begin this year with construction set to begin in 2020- there are no real timelines in place for addressing deteriorating bridges on Washington, Cumberland and Fayette streets. All three of those structures are owned by CSX- and to date the city hasn’t been able to reach an agreement that would lead to replacement or rehabilitation. Cumberland City Administrator Jeff Rhodes tells WCBC News that the city had a good relationship with local CSX representatives, but unfortunately those individuals aren’t authorized to make any decisions…
