NWS Extends Warning For Allegany, Mineral & Hampshire Counties

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
  Allegany County in western Maryland...
  Mineral County in eastern West Virginia...
  North central Hampshire County in eastern West Virginia...

* Until 745 PM EDT Sunday.

* At 119 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
  flooding. Rainfall amounts around 2 to 3 inches have already
  fallen and additional rainfall up to 1 inch is expected. Creeks
  and streams will continue to rise out of their banks. A trained
  spotter reported numerous roads covered with water around
  Frostburg.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
  Cumberland, Frostburg, Keyser, Westernport, Bel Air, Paw Paw, La
  Vale, Fort Ashby, Lonaconing, Piedmont, Elk Garden, Kitzmiller,
  Ridgeley, Cresaptown, Potomac Park, Wiley Ford, Eckhart Mines,
  Mount Savage, Rawlings and Ellerslie.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
