The Cumberland Times News reports a faulty electrical fixture is being blamed on a fire that destroyed a Garrett County home late Thursday. The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office reported Oakland firefighters were called to the Justin Gregory home on Sanders Lane about 11:30 p.m. The fire, which broke out in the kitchen of the two-story structure, caused about $150,000 damage. There were no reported injuries and the homeowner is being assisted by family members.
