Saturday night at around 11 PM, Troopers from the Maryland State Police McHenry Barrack responded to a motor vehicle accident on eastbound I-68, east of Amish Road, Grantsville.

Upon arriving Troopers discovered a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer overturned on the shoulder of the roadway.  Investigation revealed that the Trailblazer was being operated by Bernard Corbin (75 YOA from New Carisle, Ohio).  Corbin was traveling on eastbound I-68 when for unknown reasons his vehicle left the travel portion of the roadway and struck an embankment.  After striking the embankment the vehicle overturned, entrapping Corbin in the vehicle.

Corbin was subsequently extricated from the vehicle and transported to WMHS for his injuries.

Also responding to the scene were units from the Grantsville Fire Department, Northern Garrett Ambulance and Maryland State Highway Administration.
