O’Malley Promising Legislation on Gambling This Week

Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley is promising to have legislation to expand gambling ready for lawmakers to review by the end of this week. WBAL reports that O'Malley made the promise following a 90-minute meeting with a dozen state delegates from Baltimore City, who have opposed plans to add a sixth casino at the National Harbor Re sport in Prince George's County.  The lawmakers say that the casino would take business away from a proposed Baltimore City casino. The governor is still interested in holding a special session, so that lawmakers can pass a bill in time for the measure to go before voters this fall…
