O’Malley Says Information Process ‘Too Easy’

November 9th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley says it is time for lawmakers to reconsider the requirements that voters can use to get legislation before voters, noting the current process maybe "too easy." Three of the seven ballot questions voters approved Tuesday were the result of referendum petitions. There was a requirement that required 50,000 actual physical signatures, however the Internet has changed that and O'Malley told WBAL News that it might be time to consider making some changes to the process.
