Upon returning from his latest trip abroad, Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley said earlier this month that nearly $60 million in business deals were signed during the trade mission to India, and deals worth millions more are in the works. The trip was aimed at creating more jobs and opportunities in Maryland by strengthening the state’s relationship with India and selling the state as the best place for Indian companies to get a foothold in the American market. The state’s Secretary of Business and Economic Development Christian Johansen says that because of the success of this past trip and prior venture- he anticipates more travel in the future…
