O’Malley Speaks At DNC

Although allotted just five minutes to address the delegates in attendance Tuesday night for the National Democratic Convention- Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley still managed to secure a high profile slot. The head of the Democratic Governors Association, who also spoke at the 2004 DNC, saw his address scheduled just before First Lady Michelle Obama. O’Malley is viewed as a rising political star in the party- even having his name discussed as a potential 2016 presidential candidate. His presence, as well as the rest of the Maryland delegation, has drawn some attention in Charlotte.
