On Friday morning at approximately 2:30 AM the Cumberland City Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of East Harrison Street for a subject with a knife. Upon arrival officers were able to detain the subject and interview the victims. Officers learned that Henry Delbert McCain entered the victims’ bedroom threatened them with a knife and demanded property from them. A victim was able to control Mr. McCain and get the knife away from him prior to police arrival. Mr. McCain was arrested and taken before a District Court Commissioner. Mr. McCain was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
Arrested – Henry Delbert McCain (54) Cumberland, MD
Charges – Two Counts each of the following: Armed Robbery, Robbery, Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure, Attempted Theft, and Intoxicated Endangerment
