One Potential Footer Developer Impressed by Building

That is a common criticism aimed at the Footer Dye Works building among those who want to see the aging four story structure demolished.  Currently there is an effort to get the building placed on the Maryland Historic Registry as a way to improve the chances of a commercial developer gaining interest in the project. The claims that the building is badly deteriorating and an eyesore are not true, according to Canal Place and Preservation Development Authority Board member Rick Thayer.
