One Suspect Arrested in Murder Case

One of two brothers charged in the shooting death of a man in Ridgeley on Sept. 4 was in police custody in Maryland Sunday following his arrest according to the Cumberland Times News.

Rasjahnon T. Roberts, 27, a resident of North Mechanic Street, Cumberland,  was arrested early Friday morning in Williamsport, Md., by members of the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force, a division of the U.S. Marshal Service, according to the Mineral County Sheriff’s Department.

He faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

25 year old, Ryan Henry, was killed, and his 25, and his brother, Richard Henry, 27, was wounded.  Both men were from Westwood, N.J. Roberts’ brother, Rasshammach Roberts, who also was charged in connection with the shootings, has remained at large Sunday.

Rasjahnon Roberts was located at a motel in Williamsport. The arrest was made without incident and he was being held at the Washington County Detention Center pending extradition to West Virginia.

The 1:40 a.m. shootings near the corner of Potomac and Lyons streets took place after an altercation began in My Place, a nearby Ridgeley tavern, police said.

Other law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation are the C3I Unit from Allegany County and the police departments from Cumberland and Ridgeley.
