Oriole Park At Camden Yards Struck By Fire, Arson Suspected

A joint investigation by Deputy State Fire Marshals and the Baltimore City Fire Marshal’s Office has determined unknown suspect(s) ignited materials placed inside the transaction drawer of window #15 located at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Video surveillance revealed four persons of interest in the area at the time of the fire and were observed running away as the light from flames was viewed on camera.
The Baltimore City Fire Department responded and quickly contained the small blaze. The fire caused scorching of the surface area at the point of origin. The heat created from the fire caused distortion of the composite drawer, security door, drawer assembly and the speaker system on the window of the booth was damaged as well. Smoke and soot damage was observed throughout the interior of the ticket booth area. The estimated damage loss/replacement estimates are $15,000.
