Allegany County Emergency Management reports the Cumberland Fire Department was called to the law offices of Delaney and Bender at 29 Prospect Square just before 3 a.m. Saturday. Additional units from throughout Allegany County, Garrett County and Mineral County, West Virginia, were also called to the scene. According to a dispatcher, the fire scene is located behind the Allegany County Library System’s main branch on Washington Street. Cumberland Police are advising motorists to stay away from the area, including Washington Street by the county courthouse, North Johnson Street and Fayette Street at North Johnson Street to Smallwood Street.
