As previously announced, The Cumberland/Allegany County Industrial Foundation, Inc. (CACIF) and the Garrett County Development Corporation are hosting the PACE Reception on Thursday, January 22, 2015, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and the PACE Breakfast on Friday, January 23, 2015, 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Both events are held at the Loews Annapolis Hotel. The 2015 theme is “Empowering Maryland’s Future.” PACE offers free-flowing interaction by Mountain Marylanders with state and federal government officials and staff members. The local perspective about strategic issues facing Allegany and Garrett Counties can be shared with state legislators and officials. Current key legislative hot topics can be discussed in an informal networking environment. A longtime staple at the PACE receptions has been AL Feldstein who retired this week from the Maryland Office of Planning.
