Final plans are being completed for the 2017 Mountain Maryland PACE Reception to be held January 26 and 27 at the Loews Annapolis Hotel. The event is hosted by the Cumberland/Allegany County Industrial Foundation and the Garrett County Development Corp. as a way to educate state legislators and officials about western Maryland as well as to serve as a showcase for the region. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the Friday breakfast with commitments also from Comptroller Peter Franchot and U.S. Senator Ben Cardin. Robert Smith and Jeremy Irons from Allegany County and Nicole Christian from Garrett County are co-chairing the event.
