Parishioners Talk About Decision To Close Local Catholic Churches

Over the weekend, it was announced that a local committee has forwarded a recommendation to Baltimore Archbishop William Lori that three local Catholic Churches be closed.  Those churches, Saints Peter & Paul, Cumberland; Saint Patrick, Mount Savage; and Saint Ambrose, Cresaptown, all have histories that date back into the 1800’s.  On Tuesday, WCBC talked to parishioners leaving a weekday mass at Sts.     St Ambrose will always be my parish. I grew up there was married there and my children were baptized there.
