The partial government shutdown glided into its second month over the weekend with no end in sight. If the federal government is not reopened before February, millions of Americans who receive benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) — the nation’s food stamp program — could have their assistance disrupted. Maryland 1C Delegate Mike McKay recently heard testimony in committee from the head of Maryland Hunger Solutions organization and there are concerns with what will happen to those families relying on the SNAP program come March…

    Well, when you elect a president who during his campaign over and over called for a shutdown, you kinda have to expect this. It is not a surprise.
