July 16th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

The West Virginia Public Service Commission apparently will be getting a request from First Energy to increase electric rates.  Potomac Edison’s Charlene Gilliam told the Hampshire County Commissioners that the public will have a chance to comment on the proposal this fall, with an increase targeted for February.  According to the Times-News, Gilliam told the commissioners the increase would be between 15 and 17 percent and targeted for tree maintenance and storm restoration.
