During the recent series of public discussions centering on funding for education- some citizens have raised the issue of performance based pay raises. At a recent meeting of the Allegany County Commissioners, a Frostburg resident questioned why the Allegany County Teachers Association believes teachers deserve a raise. He said ACTA should produce data demonstrating that the local teachers performance merits a pay hike.
