Planned power shutdown for Mineral and Garrett

Potomac Edison and Mon Power have scheduled an electric service interruption for parts of Mineral County, W. Va. and Garrett County, Md. on Friday, August, 14. The companies regret the inconvenience, but the work is needed to help ensure service reliability in the area. The outage will occur from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., allowing crews to safely replace equipment in the Elk Garden Substation located on Nethkin Hill Road. The outage will affect 964 customers in the Elk Garden, Cross, Hartmansville, and Oakmont areas of West Virginia, the Kitzmiller area of Maryland, and the areaof Jennings Randolph Lake. Potomac Edison and Mon Power will attempt to contact affected customers by phone prior to the outage. Customers with questions about the planned outage can call Potomac Edison’s Customer Service at 1-800-686-0011 or Mon Power’s Customer Service at 1-800-686-0022.
