Plans for Allegany High School Revealed

School officials from around Maryland will outline the construction and renovation projects they want the state to fund as part of today’s Board of Public Works meeting. The event has become known as the "Beg-a-Thon" among many in the State House, although Governor Martin O'Malley has renamed it the "Hope-a-Thon." The governor, who chairs the board, has proposed $336-million for school construction in his budget and that could bode well for local plans for a new Allegany High School in Cumberland.
