Plans are in the works for a “Planes, Trains and Automobile” weekend in Allegany and Mineral Counties this fall. The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is an international organization of aviation enthusiasts based in Wisconsin- and interest has been expressed by the group in doing a fly-in at the Greater Cumberland Regional Airport and connecting it to the region’s rich transportation history. A presentation was made recently to the Potomac Highlands Airport Authority by EAA representatives. Allegany County Commissioner Creade Brodie Jr , a PHAA member, said he fully supports the idea of a transportation themed weekend in the region this September and has requested support from his fellow commissioners…
