Law enforcement officials have obtained a photograph, and are releasing it to the media, of Sheldon Emelio Lyon, and are asking for citizen assistance in locating and apprehending Lyon.
Lyon is wanted for Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault, 1st Degree Burglary, and related charges in connection with an assault which occurred during the early morning hours on Sunday, 08/26/2012 on Davidson Street in Cumberland. Lyon is described as a black male, 24 years of age, 6-03 in height, weighing 200 pounds, with short hair. Lyon is originally from Jamaica and speaks with a Jamaican accent.
Anyone who has information concerning the whereabouts of Lyon are asked to call the Cumberland Police, at 301-777-1600, the C3I Unit, at 301-777-0326, or their nearest law enforcement agency. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can call the Allegany/Mineral County Crime Solvers at 301-722-4300, where callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1500.00 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
