Handgun in vehicle
At approximately 1122hrs an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The officer while talking with the operator, who was identified as Marsha Denise Trice, detected an odor of marijuana coming from the passenger compartment. A probable cause search was conducted and during the search a loaded handgun was located inside the vehicle. Trice did not possess a concealed carry permit and subsequently arrested. She was transported to Police Headquarters for processing before being transported to District Court for a hearing. Trice was taken before the Commissioner and released pending trial in District Court.
