Police investigate disturbance, hit and run

On 0825/17 at 1017pm an Officer with the Cumberland Police Dept observed a vehicle parked the wrong direction on a one way street. The officer contacted the occupants and advised them of the violation. While performing their investigation, 24 year old Bryant Scott of Baltimore started to yell and scream at officers. After several attempts to advise Scott to stop yelling with negative results, he was placed under arrest. Scott was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed and issued a Maryland Criminal Citation for Disturbing the Peace and released pending trial in District Court.

 

Hit and Run

 

On 08/25/17 at 1200pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept where contacted in reference to a hit and run that occurred on Fayette St near St Peter and Paul’s Church. The victim advised that their vehicle was parked and unattended when an unknown vehicle struck the driver side rear quarter panel of their vehicle. The suspect vehicle is believed to be white in color. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
