On February 6, 2017 at approximately 9:58 PM Cumberland Police Officers responded to the Western Maryland Health System for a report of a male victim that had been struck by a vehicle in the 300 block of High Bedford Street. Upon speaking with the victim he stated he and a companion were walking along High Bedford Street when they observed a vehicle approaching them. The male stated he thought the vehicle was too close to them and he pushed his companion out of the way of the vehicle. The vehicle then struck him and he fell to the ground. The vehicle failed to stop and left the area. The victim described the vehicle as a white in color pick-up truck with the tailgate down. The victim suffered non life threatening injuries and was treated at the Hospital. The Cumberland Police Department is seeking the help of the citizens in this matter.
