On Thursday, the Cumberland Police Department and Cumberland Fire Department responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Oldtown Road for a report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a 32 year old female deceased inside the home. It is still early in the investigation; however, the death is suspicious and detectives from the Allegany County Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) are now on the scene. Indications are that there was blunt force trauma to the victim. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
