On 03/19/15 Cumberland Police Officers served a Criminal Summons on Sherry James. The summons stemmed from an incident that occurred in the Arch Street area on March 13, 2015. On that date James was involved in an argument with another subject in her residence and James allegedly assaulted the other subject. The victim filed for assault charges on James at the Allegany County District Court. James was served with the Criminal Summons and was released from the Police Department to await trial in the Allegany County District Court.

CDS Arrests
On 03/18/15 at approximately 11:00 pm a Cumberland Police Officer observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Altamont Terrace in Cumberland. The Officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the operator, Danielle Ash, and a passenger in the vehicle, Leo Durocher Jr. During the traffic stop a Police K9 was utilized for a free air sniff of the vehicle. The K9 gave a positive alert on the vehicle. As a result of a probable cause search a small amount of Marijuana was located on Durocher. He was then issued a Criminal Citation for Possession of Marijuana and was released from the Police Department to await trial in the Allegany County District Court. A controlled dangerous substance was also located on the driver, Danielle Ash. The Officer filed for a criminal summons on Ash and it was then served on her on 03/19/15 charging her with CDS Possession-Not Marijuana. Ash was served with the Criminal Summons and was released from the Police Department to await trial in the Allegany County District Court.
