Criminal Summonses Served

On Tuesday, May 05, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department served criminal summons on the following individual;

Pauline May Turner – age 47 – Cumberland, MD.  Failure to send child to school.

 

Criminal Summons Served

On April 27, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence located on S. Chase Street in reference to a domestic assault.  Upon the officers arrival contact was made with the female victim who stated that she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Garrett William Posthumus.  The victim stated that an argument ensued over a cell phone then Posthumus slammed her into a counter and continued shoving her head against it several times.  The victim stated that Posthumus then threw her to the ground, tore her shirt and grabbed her throat leaving a red mark on the victim’s neck.  The victim did not require medical treatment.  Posthumus fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.  Charges were applied for at District Court which resulted in the summons being issued.  Posthumus was served with the summons and released pending trial at District Court.

Arrested:

Garrett William Posthumus – age 19 – Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Criminal summons charging Posthumus with second degree assault.

 

Criminal Summons Served

On May 03, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department responded to an apartment located in Jane Frazier Village in reference to a domestic assault.  Upon the officers arrival contact was made with the female victim who stated that she had an argument with Christopher Reed Davis.  The victim stated that Davis then assaulted her by ripping her shirt and striking her in the stomach.  The victim did not require medical treatment for her injuries.  Charges were applied for at District Court which resulted in the summons being issued.  Davis was served with the summons and released pending trial at District Court.

Arrested:

Christopher Reed Davis – age 28 – Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Criminal summons charging Davis with second degree assault and disturbing the peace.

 

Trespassing

On Tuesday, May 05, 2015 at approximately 7:48 p.m., observed a subject trespassing on CSX property by walking across the train tracks in an area which is posted against trespassing.  The subject was contacted and identified as Eric Jason Burley.  Burley was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.  Burley was then issued a criminal citation and released pending trail at District Court at a later date.

Arrested:

Eric Jason Burley – age 29 – Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Criminal citation for trespassing on posted property.
