ASSAULT

On Tuesday May 19, 2015, at 5:10 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to the 600 block of Maryland Avenue for a reported Assault.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Tissa Imes, age 32 of Cumberland, aggressively approached the victim as she was at the door of her residence.  The victim attempted to close the door when Imes forced her way inside and punched the victim in the facial area several times.  Imes was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  She was later taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office and was released on her personal recognizance pending trial.  The victim did not require medical attention.

CHARGES:  Burglary 4^th Degree, Assault 2^nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct.

 

 

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER

Ronald Shaffer, age 63 of Cumberland was arrested on May 19, 2015 for violating an Ex-Parte order.   Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a private residence on South Mechanic Street for a check on well being service call.  Shaffer was located in the residence after being previously court ordered that he was not allowed on the premises.  Shaffer was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed and served.   He was later taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office and was released on her personal recognizance pending trial.
