On June 10, 2014 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 403 Arch Street for a domestic assault.  When officers arrived at the residence they could hear a female crying in the upstairs portion of the residence.  Officers were able to make contact at the front door with Nathan Ray Frye.  Mr. Frye informed the officers that he had been fighting with the female resident.  When officers contacted the female victim, she was sitting on the floor, crying.  Officers observed a small cut on the victims left leg that was bleeding.  Officers were advised by the victim that during the disturbance, Frye knocked an object off the wall that struck her in the leg, causing the injuries.  As a result of this investigation, officers placed Mr. Frye under arrest.  Before leaving the residence officers located a clear plastic baggie of suspected marijuana, black digital scales and a small container with marijuana residue.  Frye was transported the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Frye was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing.  Frye was held in the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Charges: Assault 2nd, Possession of marijuana and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
