On August 12, 2015 Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Jason Myles Roager, age 20 of Cumberland, Maryland. On May 28, 2015 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the Department of Social Services located at 1 Frederick Street for a domestic assault. Upon the officers arrival they made contact with security. Officers were advised by security that a male and female were arguing and walked downstairs. After walking away from the office, one security officer saw the female victim lying on the ground with male standing over her. After reviewing video surveillance, security saw the male suspect strike the female knocking her to the ground. As a result of this incident the suspect was identified and charges were applied for at District Court. Roager was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Roager was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
