Police respond to same address twice for disturbance

DISORDERLYCONDUCT

On Tuesday at 11:20 am, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Maryland Avenue for a reported disturbance.  Upon arrival officers observed Caitlin Ziler, age 19, acting in a loud and disruptive manner in the presence of officers and neighbors.  Ziler was warned several times to cease her actions but failed to comply.  As a result, she was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she was criminally cited for Disorderly Conduct and released.

At 6:38 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers again responded to the same residence on Maryland Avenue for a disturbance.  Upon arrival officers observed Ziler acting in a disorderly manner and disturbing the peace of the neighbors.  Ziler failed to comply with the officer’s demands to lower her voice.  As a result, she was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she was processed and served.  She was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing and was released on her personal recognizance pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
