SUMMONS SERVICE
On Wednesday August 20, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Paul Harman, age 32 of Cumberland. The charges were filed as a result of a July 18, 2014, assault investigation that occurred in the area of Wineow Street. Investigation into this matter revealed that Harman allegedly approached a female acquaintance while she was asleep and unlawfully touched her without consent. Witnesses to the incident were able to immediately intervene and pulled Harman away from the victim. Harman was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court. The victim did not require medical attention.

On Wednesday August 20, 2014, Cumberland City Police served two Criminal Summonses on Dustin Edwards, age 23 of Cumberland. The first summons was a result of a Theft investigation that occurred at a residence in 500 block of Cumberland Street on August 6, 2014. Investigation into this matter revealed that Edwards allegedly stole a car battery from the owner of the listed residence. The second issued summons was as a result of a theft investigation that occurred in the 300 block of Cumberland Street on August 2, 2014. Investigation revealed that Edwards allegedly stole electronic items from the residence. Edwards was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
