ASSAULT
On Thursday August 20, 2015, at 5:19 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers were dispatched to an assault that occurred on Queen City Drive. Officers located the parties involved and investigation into this matter revealed that witnesses observed James Gunn, age 43 of Cumberland, assaulting the victim by pulling her hair and dragging her by her arms towards him. Gunn was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where it was learned that he had an additional arrest warrant for failing to appear for trial on July 13, 2015 for the charge of operating an uninsured motor vehicle. The victim did not require medical attention. Gunn was held on a temporary commitment at the Allegany County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

CHARGES: Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace, Fail to Appear (arrest warrant).
