August 24th, 2014 Arrest Warrant Served
On 08/24/14 The Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on 38 year old Kelly Cole of Cumberland. The warrant stems from an investigation initiated by the Cumberland Police Department on 08/23/14 when Officers responded to the 200blk of Pennsylvania Ave in reference to a Breaking and Entering and Theft complaint. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who advised that person(s) unknown had broken into his garage by breaking off a lock hinge on the door. Once inside the garage the culprit(s) removed numerous items of value including a four wheeler. Officers then observed tracks from the victim’s garage leading to a separate garage located several streets over. Officers contacted Cole at this location and were able to recover the items taken from the victim. An application for charges was completed and presented before the District Court Commissioner resulting in the arrest warrant being issued. Cole was arrested on the warrant charging him with Burglary 2nd Degree, Burglary 4th Degree, Two Counts of Theft $1,000 to under $10,000, and Rogue and Vagabond. Cole was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held on a $35,000 bail.
August 24th 2014 Bench Warrant Served
On 08/24/14 the Cumberland Police Dept served a Bench Warrant on 22 year old Miguel Vanmeter of Cumberland. The warrant stems from Vanmeter failing to follow conditions of probation set by a District Court Judge. Vanmeter was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was released after posting a $1,000 bail.
