On Tuesday, August 26, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Timothy Adam Spiker, age 34, Cumberland, MD.  The summons was issued after a private citizen applied for charges at District Court.  The summons charges Spiker with second degree assault and fourth degree sex offense.

 

  

Criminal Summons Served

 

On Tuesday, August 26, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Thomas Michael Marvin Jr, age 47, Cumberland, MD.  The summons stems from an investigation of a disturbance which was reported on August 15, 2014.  The location of the disturbance was a residence located in the 500 block of Hill Street, Cumberland, MD.  During the investigation it was learned that Marvin was in possession of an illegally modified shotgun.  Marvin admitted to possessing the shotgun, it was located and at the time it was unloaded.  The shotgun’s barrel has been cut off making it an illegal length.  The shotgun was seized and entered into evidence.  Charges were applied for at District Court resulting in the summons being issued.  The summons charges Marvin with possessing a short barreled shotgun.

Bench Warrant Served

 

On Wednesday, August 27, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Nicole Amber Nettle, age 21, Rockville, MD.  The warrant stems from Nettle failing to appear for court on August 11, 2014.  Nettle was served with the warrant and taken to District Court for her initial appearance.  Nettle was released on her personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.
