On 09/23/15 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the first block of E Elder St in reference to a theft. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who stated that sometime overnight person(s) unknown entered their vehicle removing an item of value. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

September 23rd, 2015 Criminal Summons Served
On 09/23/15 the Cumberland Police Dept served a criminal summons on 33 year old Douglas Inklebarger of Ridgeley. The summons stems from an investigation initiated by the Cumberland Police Dept on 09/14/15 when Officers responded to the 600blk of Fayette St in reference to a hit and run. Witnesses were able to provide a description of the suspect vehicle as well as video evidence captured. Through the public’s assistance Officers were able to identify Inklebarger as the suspect. Inklebarger was charged on the summons with fail to remain at the scene of a property damage accident and several traffic related charges and released pending trial in District Court.
