On January 21, 2014 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 527 North Centre Street for a reported trespassing complaint.  When the officers arrived at the residence they made contact with, Tara Renee Athey.  Athey advised the officers that she was involved in an argument with her friend prior to their arrival.  Athey informed the officers that during the argument her friend threw a bag of trash on his truck.  Officers were able to make contact with Ms. Athey's friend who was at the residence.  While speaking with the subject he informed the officers that he was heading to his residence in Pennsylvania with Athey when she decided she did not want to go.  After dropping Athey off at her residence, she became irate and began to strike the windshield of his truck with a red claw hammer.  Damage to the truck consisted of shattered glass and dents to the windshield frame.  Officers were able to locate the hammer that was used to damage the truck.   As a result of this incident, Athey was arrested and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Athey was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released on her own personal recognizance.

Charges: Destruction of Property and Disorderly Conduct.
