Theft Arrest
On January 24, 2014 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Dollar General located at 662 Greene Street for a shoplifting complaint. Upon the officers arrival they made contact with a store employee who advised them that she observed the suspect, Douglas Wayne Black remove tags from a black toboggan and place the item on his head. Black was also observed placing a camouflage ball cap over the toboggan. Black was later observed placing several items from the store inside his pockets. As Black attempted to leave the store he was stopped by a store employee. Black refused to stay at the store and fled the area on foot. Black was located a short distance away and returned to the Dollar General Store. Black was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Black was issued a criminal citation and released pending his trial date in District Court.

Charge: Theft Less Than $100.
