Police Log – 10-21-15

On Tuesday, October 20, 2015 Cumberland Police Officers received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on E. First Street.  The witness stated there was a subject inside the vehicle acting suspicious.  Officers responded and located the vehicle.  They made contact with the driver, Brandon Gonzales.  A K9 was requested and performed a scan of the vehicle.  A positive alert for the presence of CDS was found as a result of the K9 scan.  The vehicle was then searched and several items commonly used for CDS were located inside the vehicle.  Gonzales was then placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Police Department.  He was then transported to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office and was later released on his personal recognizance.

Charges: CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia and CDS: Possession of Equipment used to Administer CDS

 

Trespassing Arrest  -  

On Tuesday, October 20, 2015 Cumberland Police Officers responded to a Somerville Avenue address in reference assisting the Cumberland Fire Department.  Upon their arrival, Officers located Shane Lee York on the property.  Officers were aware that Shane York had been served with a No Trespassing letter for this property.  York was then placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Police Department.  York was issued a criminal citation charging him with one count of Trespassing and released pending trial in Allegany County District Court.
